It's been almost 3 months since I took the leap of faith and decided to quit my job to follow my entrepreneurial heart. It has turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. I get to do exactly what I love everyday and it gives me the opportunity to spend so much more time at home. Since my home is now my work space, I have started to pour my energy into making a clear space to think and get creative! First step saging!
Saging roots are in Native American cultures and traditions. It is a ritualistic way to cleanse a person, place or an object of negative energies or influences. I'm a believer in starting fresh and decorating a space that reflects your energy! I knew that Urban Outfitters would have everything that I needed! I know that many think of Urban Outfitters as a hub for the hottest urban threads however it has evolved into a lifestyle brand. They have EVERYTHING you can imagine that will allow you to create a space that you'll fall in love with! I even got my sage there!
I was really intentional when I created this space. I wanted it to feel clean and easy with fun elements yet free enough for my kids to feel comfortable! A white duvet cover may give some of you mommies anxiety, but this one is machine washable so there are no worries! I also love the addition of the natural wood elements. The Mango Wood Double Round Wall Shelf has to be my favorite piece in the room. It's a special and functional piece that is just large enough to fit your bedtime necessities.
While we are on the topic of necessities, you can't complete your decor without the small things that make your house feel like a home! Urban Outfitters also has a curated beauty section where you are sure to find something that you'll love.
I found my new favorite thing! This hair and body spray not only looks beautiful on top of your dresser, it smells divine! Put it on before a night out or before a night in! You and your sheets will smell amazing!
I am so excited (and zen) to have partnered with UOHome to fashion a sanctuary for myself! I feel super inspired to continue to grow with my space and have another round of shopping at UO!
Here are some items on my wish list for my next project!
